Mindy & Brandon Taylor – A Red Vine Studios + 1 Maternity Session – Part II!

Hey everyone! (and Brandon)

Surprise… this is a surprise part II session for Mindy & Brandon, sans Brandon.  We were a little rushed and I wanted to complete the look and flesh out a few fun ideas with Mindy so we teamed up with this perfect finish to the outdoor +1 Maternity shoot we had last week.  It was a blast and I can’t thank Mindy and her mom for coming by the home studio and allowing me once again to capture this special time in all of their lives.  Enjoy the show!

Mindy on the Damask background looking gorgeous as ever…

Work it!

One of the ideas Mindy & Brandon had at our earlier shoot but that we were not able to capture in time before darkness overtook us.

Another new black and white mixed action that I’m working with currently =o)

Mindy in all  of her tallness!

A small clothes change to give us a different look and we started winding up.

A special moment between mom and the future Baby Taylor (they chose not to find out with their first child).

Really!  About 5 weeks away from giving birth.. Mindy you are just glowing!  There’s no Photoshop work needed for that to shine through!

Final series of the day. It was just a few years ago I was taking macro photos of that wedding ring in the entry hall of her dad’s church and now this photo.
What a honor to be Mindy & Brandon’s photography once again. Thank you both SO very much for the repeat business and I cannot sincerely wait
until ‘lil Baby Taylor is here and we can capture your ENTIRE family in all of your beautiful glory. =o)

God bless you and both of your dear families’ in this special time in life.  It was just a heartbeat ago it seems when both of our little girls were born and now one’s almost 5 and the other is 2 1/2.  My how time flies when you are having fun!  What fun & blessing this business God has given me and my family and the opportunity to create lasting memories for so many wedding clients and families.

Until next time… =o)  Stay real!

Catrina - Mindy all of these pictures are so cute. You both take great pictures. I wish you both the best of luck on the new one.

Mindy & Brandon Taylor – A Red Vine Studios + 1 Maternity Session!

Hey everyone!  This is Mindy & Brandon Taylor, people who you will definately recognize from the wedding website (because they’re so gorgeous and all over it!!).  We communicated about celebrating the upcoming birth of their first child with a Red Vine Studios – +1 session.  That’s what I call my maternity sessions btw… +1 or +2 if you’re having twins… hehehee.

So we met up on Monday at the Japanese Stroll Gardens here in Springfield, MO and just absolutely had a blast taking some nice portraits of them together and a ton of just Mindy basking in her motherly glow!  So without further adieu or Mediacom Cable service interruption (don’t ask!  No Internet for 3 + days! yikes…)  I am blessed to present a gorgeous preview of The Taylor’s + 1 Maternity session to you below.  Enjoy!

We started by this gorgeous wall of Bamboo at the Garden!

It wouldn’t be a Red Vine Studios photo shoot without some smooching going on!

Mindy is just stunning in this candid photo as my Asst for the day LeAnn made her laugh.

Tilt Shift Lens work for your pleasure… an artistic bluring done in
camera or by professional photoshop for art’s sake.

More tilt shift baby bump loving!

Mindy is SO gorgeous, all in her motherly glow.  Hard to believe that she’ll be a full time mom in less than 6 weeks time!

Here’s the whole family! =o)

Here’s the same shot essentially, but with a special Black and White process that I’ve been working on for outdoor portraits.  I LOVE IT!!!

Now this shot was processed with a slight vintage aging process in Photoshop, not truly a Sepia tone, I just call it “Aged to Perfection”.

And the final edit, with a color boost process that I love using as well.  This is a big time favorite, and I include all of these different looks

and edits in every session that I shoot.  It doesn’t matter if it’s families, +1 Maternity sessions, Seniors, or Weddings.  Variety is the spice of life!

A little more tilt shift love for you all, I try not to do too many of these edits, but it’s hard not to.  Certain shots like this one, BEG for it!

And then we escaped from the lovely bamboo wall, into the open air bridge at the gardens and were assaulted by the wind.

Not as much fun, but the bridge photographs so nicely… even in gale force winds.

Looking out into the future… a little Titanic feel to this one.  Once again, the special Black & White process lends a hand.

Brandon (#1 Dad to be!) wanted to kiss the baby… so I said go for it, pucker up!  Love this shot SO much.  It’s simply lovely.

Then the pre-rain clouds rolled in and it got dark FAST!  Like in 5 mins… it was nearly pitch black but that doesn’t stop us… I love working in the dark. =o)

That’s when I bust out my full lighting kit and rock it out with some good light and some hard edges and contrast to the images.  Take a look below!

Sitting in the window of a Japanese building, Mindy looks so cute in her lil dress.  I seriously can’t believe that she’s only 6 weeks away from delivering!

And literally the last photo of the night, and then we ran to the exit before the gardens and the park locked up on us.

I simply adore how Mindy’s just got the cutest lil baby bump ever.  Mindy you rock! You and Brandon are going to be awesome parents!

So once again, to all the friends and family and complete total strangers visiting the blog today… lol, Thank you for taking the time to stop by and look today.  If you feel the need to heap tons of lovely words and praise upon this gorgeous family, please comment below. There is no obligation or spam emails involved, just honest REAL comments for awesome REAL people!

God bless!

Matt & Alicia Hoss – A Red Vine Studios Nathaniel Greene Park Wedding – Springfield, MO

Hey everyone!  It’s been a busy few weeks with many engagement shoots and lots of late night editing sessions.  With the cable modem being up and down and up and down for the past three weeks, it’s good to be back online, all fixed up and getting client galleries online again!  Yay!!!

Today, I have the honor of posting a photoshoot that just happened yesterday, September 8th, 2009.  Matt & Alicia Hoss are a brand new, 1 day old, newlyweds!!!  Matt’s a Marine and Alicia is a dear friend from Baptist Bible College here in Springfield, Missouri.  I’ve had the complete pleasure of photographing Alicia back when she was a freshman, along with her roommate at the time.  From that moment on, she became a quick fan of my work and her face has graced my cameras as recently as just a few months ago this spring 2009.

When I found out she was getting married, I of course found out all the juicy details, etc.  For now, they celebrated at a local park in a very small family gathering, saving a larger celebration for a later date.  That didn’t put a downer on the awesome weather we were blessed to receive from the good Lord above and the proof is in the pudding… or the photos.  They are SO photogenic and I swear my camera and memory cards were smokin’ after this session.  The photos are just… what’s the word??  HOT!  =o)

So all I can say to Matt & Alicia and all of their family waiting for the full photo gallery in the upcoming weeks is this Congratulations to you ALL!  I wish I could of stayed all day, but the photo time we had beforehand was simply amazing.  God bless you all!!

So here, we present for the first time on the Red Vine Studios blog, Matt & Alicia Hoss: The photoshoot!

We shot at Nathaniel Greene Park here in Springfield, MO.

Told you they are smokin’!!  These two wonderful people just couldn’t take their eyes off each other.
Matt just flew in the night before, as we all followed Alicia facebook updates on the status of his flight. Awww!

They just belong together!  And in honor of the Marines… EYES LEFT!!

Let’s just say these two missed each other a lot over the past few months… =o)

A kind worker at the park let us into the Japanese Stroll Gardens which is a gorgeous location to shoot in, and usually costs.  Thanks Mister!!

Did I ever mention my love of the bamboo at the stroll garden? =o)
Here it’s not only shaded us from some early morning sun, but it has helped deliver a gorgeous portrait!

And when I say I LOVE the bamboo… =o)  I mean it!  Utterly gorgeous!

I love how Matt is just lost into looking so deeply at his wife to be.  At this moment, it was but a scant 1 1/2 hrs. away!

My favorite photo from the entire day… from the tip toes that Alicia has to pull off just to reach her tall Marine to the bamboo.  Love it all!

What would the stroll gardens be, if they didn’t take a short stroll? =o)

And what would ANY photoshoot by Red Vine Studios be without some bling bling rocking ring shots?

Whomever picked the ring out, did a stellar job as the backdrop of the sky shows off so clearly.

Second favorite set of photos from the day!  OMG, so cute!!!  No really… The set up…

and the completion. =o)

Decided to bust out some photoshop lovin’ on quite a few of these today.  I’m diggin’ this action today.

Just a gorgeous couple, completely, entirely in love and an honor to work for!

Again, I am so blessed and proud to present my dear friends… Matt & Alicia (Rodriquez) Hoss!

Thank you for your viewing time this day or evening.  If you enjoyed anything you’ve seen here on the blog or website please take 5 minutes and leave a comment for the lovely couple above, or on another post.  If you’re inquiring about a wedding date, please be sure to get ahold of me immediately as meetings and bookings for late 2009 and Spring 2010 are already happening.

God bless!
